The Esquilino (or the Esquiline Hill) was a landmark located in the Italian city of Rome. The Roman Emperor Trajan constructed his bath complex on the Esquilino Hill, which was still visible during modern times.[1]

Database Entry

The southern most of the Seven Hills of Rome, Esquilino was another fashionable residential district. In a demonstration of humility and graciousness, Nero confiscated property here to built his opulent Golden House which was, to put it mildly, excessive.[1]
