Ellen

Ellen was a seamstress during the American Revolutionary War. The AssassinRatonhnhake:ton stumbled across her being attacked by her husband one day in Boston, and after subduing the man with his fists, he invited her to move her tailoring business to his Homestead in the frontier, allowing her to escape her abusive husband with their daughter. Ellen accepted, though she neglected to bring a parcel of fine fabric, which Ratonhnhake:ton retrieved for her afterward. Her husband eventually tracked her down with a group of his cronies and attempted to break into her new home. Ratonhnhake:ton and the other homesteaders retaliated violently, emerging victorious and threatening the men with death if they ever attempted to harm Ellen again.

Some time later, at the wedding of Norris and Myriam, Ellen thanked them all by revealing a flag she had sewn as a symbol of the Homestead's harmonious community, expressing a wish that the new nation would follow the example set by its residents. Ratonhnhake:ton accepted the gift, and flew it outside the church from that point onward.
