The Eight Tigers were a powerful group of Templar eunuchs that controlled the Chinese imperial court during the reign of the Ming dynasty Zhengde Emperor.

After Zhengde was succeeded by the puppet Jiajing Emperor, the Templars manipulated him into initiating a purge of the Chinese Assassin Brotherhood. After Shao Jun returned to China to rebuild her Brotherhood, she began exacting revenge on the Tigers. In retaliation for her killing their top-raking comrades, the Tigers set the burning port of Macau ablaze.
