The Egyptian Helmet was a helmet that the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan obtained at Azar's market in late 9th century Dublin, Ireland. Alongside the Egyptian Helmet, Eivor acquired the rest of its set from Azar's trade contracts.
During her time in Ireland, Eivor worked with Azar in building Dublin to be the country's trade center. Upon building up Dublin, Eivor retrieved items around Ireland and its trade posts, such as pieces of clothing and texts. In one of Azar's trade contracts, Ahmad ibn Tulun's army at Al-Qata'i was a sight to see, but their attire resembled less than their status. Thus, Dublin stepped in to provide them appropriate armor. After trading 80 pieces of clothing and 25 texts, Eivor increased Dublin's affluence with Tulun's Egypt and obtained some trade post supplies and the Egyptian Helmet.[1]
