The Eastern Bazaar was a marketplace in Kydonia, Messara, in the 5th century BCE.

History

During the Peloponnesian War, the city became the hotspot of inflamed relations between the local military and the merchants. A textile merchant asked the Spartan misthios Kassandra to help with the matter, and the Eastern Bazaar was one of the locations he pointed her to.[1]

In the Eastern Bazaar, Kassandra interrupted two guards harassing a poor merchant, threatening to break all his pots.[1]
