Akteon
Actaeon was a Theban huntsman hero in Greek mythology. He was a pupil of the centaur Chinon, who trained Achilles generations later.
According to legend, Akteon witnessed the goddess Artemis bathing naked. For this trangression, he was devoured by his companion dogs. After his death, an oracle ordered his remains and be buried and a statue be erected at the site where he died, with sacrifices being conducted annually.[1]
