After the assassination of Jean-Paul Marat, Arno Dorian visited the St. Germain Prison and questioned the Girondist suspect Brignac, who was the political opponent sent to kill Marat but the job was already done by someone. He suggested Arno find their leader and ask about the list written by Marat that supposedly named several Girondists. Thus of this, Arno visited Bûches' shop to question him the list. Not recognizing any of the names, he noted that the first letters of each name spelled the word "providence".[1]
