Ajax the Lesser was the son Oileus, the King of Lokris who participated in the Trojan War in Greek mythology.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the site where Ajax's ship had allegedly sunk. Ajax himself was said to have been buried on Mykonos. Kassandra also infiltrated a camp named after Ajax in the White Crystal Hills of Lokris.[1]
There was also a man who claimed himself to be Ajax reborn.[2]
