Diana is the Roman goddess of the hunt, the moon, and the nature. She was the daughter of Jupiter and Latona, and the twin sister of Apollo.

Influence

During the Renaissance, the Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni had a statuette featuring Diana. It was paired with one of her brother Apollo.[1]

Behind the scenes

The statuette in Assassin's Creed II seems to be based on Diana of Versailles, given their identical postures.
