Aegisthus, also transliterated as Aigisthos, was a King of Mycenae in Greek mythology.

During his lifetime, Aigisthos owned a palace that, by the 5th century BCE, had sunk off the coast of Argolis. This palace was explored by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra, during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
