Radio communications were researched extensively a the end of the 19th century, leading to the generalization of their use at the start of the 20th century. Notable names are associated to the development of radio technology, including Hertz, Tesla and Marconi. Although not yet a mass broadcasting device, the radio was used as propaganda tool during the Russian revolution, for the first time in history.
