Whether on the attack or in a more defensive position, the Katana is a very well-rounded weapon in a warrior's arsenal. It is one of the few edged weapons that can be used as both a sword and shield, allowing wielders to overcome most combat situations. Properly timed attacks can stagger enemies, providing opportunities for meticulous strikes. Swift hands make the Katana perfect for counterattacks and parrying.
