Born to an unknown Jotun mother and fathered by the Muspel warlord Surtr, Glod is something of an outsider among the giants of Norse myth, being both Jotun and Muspel, yet treated like he is neither.
A key weapon in Surtr's invasion force, Glod is feared both by dwarves and those under his command throughout Svartalfheim.
