Database: Arco di Tito

Built by Emperor Domitian in 82 C.E. to honour his dead brother Titus, the Arci di Tito commemorates Titus's victory in the Sack of Jerusalem. This arch became the inspiration for many arches to be erected thereafter, most notably the Arc de Triomphe in Paris as well as Constantine's Arch.
