Aelfwood

Aelfwood was a forested area that held a temple for pagans, in Glowecestrescire, England.
History
In 876, during her pledge to Glowecestrescire, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir tried to clear her name of Tewdwr's "murder," which led her to find out that Ealdorman Cynon and High Priestess Modron wanted Tewdwr dead and had Eivor framed.[1] After dealing with Cynon, Eivor headed to find Modron's temple in Aelfwood to save Tewdwr and deal with Modron. Upon her arrival in forested area, Eivor overheard the soldiers talking about Modron's upcoming sacrifice of Tewdwr. Investigating the area, Eivor looked among the soldiers and within the caves, only to find a hidden entrance to Ochre Caves. Going inside, Eivor went to find Tewdwr and stop Modron.[2]
Through her travels, Eivor also found and opened a chest, after obtaining its key from a bandit, and it contained the footwear, Thegn's Breeches.[3]
