Colichemarde
The Colichemarde was a thin, rapier-like sword with a widened hilt-guard, obtainable by the Assassin Aveline de Grandpré during the 18th century in New Orleans. This sword type was the preferred sword of George Washington, as it gave Washington a sword that functioned as a slashing weapon on horseback with it's heavier end towards the hilt and could also be used rapier style with the narrower tip, ideal for stabbing and thrusting.
