Colcestre Barracks

Colcestre Barracks was a Saxon barracks and it was located in Colcestre, Essexe, in England.

History

In the 870s, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir infiltrated the barracks and inspected the area. Inside, she collected two nickel ingots, one from a chest inside a tower and one from a Saxon soldier.[1]
