The advisor hiding the Codex

The Codex Pater Intellectus (English: Codex of the Father of Understanding) was a book written by the Grand Master of the Templar Order and Sage, Jacques de Molay. In the book, he wrote his knowledges from the First Civilization and his vision of the Order.

During the 1307 Assassin-orchestrated attack on the Temple in Paris, de Molay charged a Templar to hide the Codex and Sword of Eden in the de Molay's vault located under the Temple. The Templar succeeded, although he was soon killed by the Master Assassin Thomas de Carneillon.

Four centuries later, another Sage and Templar, Francois-Thomas Germain, guided by his visions of the First Civil<sation, opened the vault and retrieved the codex. With this new knowledge, he understood his true purpose and decided to reform the world with the end of monarchy. However, several of his fellow Templars believed his ideas to be too radical. Because of this, Germain founded his own extremist faction within the Order, determined to carry out de Molay's visions for the world.
