Chremata House in c. 431 BCE

The Chremata House was a residence in Argolis, Greece. It was part of the city of Argos, and protected by military personnel.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, killed the captain, and claimed their valuables.[1]

Trivia

  • The term chremata (χρήματα) means "goods useful for exchange purposes".
