The Celtic Helmet was a helmet that the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan found and retrieved in late 9th century Ulster, Ireland. Alongside the Celtic Helmet, Eivor acquired the rest of its set from her journey through Ireland.
During her time in Ireland, Eivor traveled to the hillfort and village of Ailech. Through some probing, Eivor went and discovered a chest within a barred room below the hillfort, near the prison cells. Breaking the barred door open, Eivor entered the room, opened the chest, and retrieved the Celtic Helmet.[1]
