A Cow in Egypt

The cow (Bos taurus) is a domesticated species of bovine. Cows are one of the most common kept large herbivores.

During the 1st century BCE, many cows were kept by Egyptians living in the rural countryside, where they were used as a source of meat and milk and for grazing.
