Brothel
Brothels are locations which appear in Assassin's Creed II and are the homes of the courtesans. In Assassin's Creed II brothels are located in Florence, Venice and Monteriggioni and all of them appear to have a small rooftop gardens. The only purpose of these gardens seems to be to distinguish the brothels from other nearby buildings.
La Rosa Colta
The Rosa Colta (Breaking Rose) is a brothel located in the city of Florence and it's leader was Paola. It was founded in 1465 when Paola decided to help the women of the streets by giving them a home. It wasn't uncommon to see members of the signoria visiting, and sometimes even members of the Medici family were seen there. In Assassin's Creed II it is a glyph location and is where Ezio Auditore was taught the ways of the courtesans.
La Rosa della Virtu
The La Rosa della Virtu (The Rose of Virtue) is a brothel located in the city of Venice and it's head courtesan was Teodora. The brothel was founded and run by former nuns and the Pope repeatedly tried to close the brothel, even though it continued to operate until a fire in the year 1516. In Assassin's Creed II Ezio Auditore speaks with Teodora and the other courtesans about the planned assassination of Marco Barbarigo.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, when Ezio first met Claudia and Maria in Rome, he rennovated the Rosa In Fiore, which was to become the center of courtesan operations in Rome. Ezio can also renovate guild buildings for the courtesans.
