Brooklyn
Brooklyn is one of the five boroughs of New York City, located in the state of New York, United States. It is the most populous borough in the city.[1] The Pinkerton agent Tommy Greyling was born in the borough.[2]
History
On 27 August 1776, the first battle commanded by George Washington took place in Brooklyn Heights against the British General William Howe's forces. Mass desertion of Washington's forces led to defeat and retreat.[3] The retreat was backed by Colonial Assassin apprentices sent by Ratonhnhaké:ton to aid Washington.[4]
In 1908,[5] a memorial for the prisoners killed aboard the HMS Jersey in the late 1770s was erected in Brooklyn, a hundred years after the bodies had been exhumed from the sunken wreck and buried in a local cemetery.[6]
In 2003, runaway Desmond Miles visited the Brooklyn bar Bad Weather in the hopes of gaining employment. Successful he remained the bartender for nine years until September 2012 when he was kidnapped by Abstergo Industries for use in their Animus Project.[7] On 1 September, security camera footage from Floyd Bennett Field caught Abstergo agents prepping Desmond for transfer in the early hours of the morning. This information was later collected and compiled by the Initiates and posted to their secure private network.[8]
