Brizo was a goddess in Greek mythology, known as the protector of mariners, sailors, fishermen. She was also known as a prophet who would speak to men through prophetic dreams.

In Delos, Brizo was widely worshipped to a point that the residents constructed a shrine north of the island.

Trivia

  • Her name is derived from the Greek word βρίζω (brízō) meaning 'to insult, to curse'.
