Blending

The most efficient (also slowest, but nothing to a true assassin)technique used to remain anonymous is called Blending. To Blend when playing Assassin's Creed just press the A button for the Xbox 360 version. There are many situations you may find yourself in when not safely moving throughout a city. When investigating a target within a particular district, Blending is the only sure way to safely move. Situations where Blending prove inefficient are when encountering Kingdom archers and guard posts who absolutely refuse to grant you access to the desired area. Beyond those Blending for the assassin is seriously life saving. The technique is only as useful as the assassin performing it, because for the most part guards ignore you completely. Do the math, an anonymous state means all guards are unaware of your presence, making low-profile assassinations much smoother, safer, and easier to perform without the risk of exposure. Blending ensures that you can brush right up against an informed soldier and still not run the risk of becoming exposed. This means in combination with the Hidden Blade, your application of the technique and assassinating skills should be applied often to ensure mastery over what could easily be the most important technique Altair possesses, that upholds the expression within the second tenet. If stealth is your top and only priority then utilize this effective technique as often as possible.
