Benguela is a city in western Angola. [citation needed]
History
In the early 18th century, Benguela was the principal Portuguese port for trade with the rest of Europe, with the village thriving on international trade. The Welsh pirate Edward Kenway traded wine with the Portuguese settlement.[1]
