Bayezid II
Bayezid II (December 3, 1447 - May 26, 1512) was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1481 to 1512. Bayezid is part of the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Contracts that Ezio can send his Apprentices on. Ezio's Apprentices travel to the Ottoman Empire in order to assure the safety of refugees by fighting the Templar agents.
The Sultan welcomed many escaped Jewish refugees from the Inquisition of Queen Isabella I in Spain and King Manuel I in Portugal. The King of Spain, Ferdinand I - under the influence of the Templars - tried to send his own agents with the refugees to infiltrate Constantinople, but was foiled by the Assassins, who took the agents' places.
Trivia
- His date of death was one of the dates shown in the beginning of the reveal video for Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
