The Bastard Sword was a heavy weapon obtainable by Ezio Auditore da Firenze during the 15th and 16th centuries. During his quest for vengeance against Rodrigo Borgia, he could acquire it from any guard who used it, though he never kept the weapon for continued use. During his attempt to erode the Borgias' power, he could purchase and keep the weapon from any blacksmith in Rome.
The Bastard Sword also makes an appearance in Assassin's Creed: Rogue, it costs 18000 Pounds and is very similar to it's earlier counterpart. It also is matched with a similar dagger.
