I personally don't like the IRC, it's so inconsistent and generally a pain to stay connected om. Too many timeouts. The external clients don't work either, I've followed the instructions to no avail. We're better off adopting the Wiki Chat for users who want something more practical and easy to follow. The IRC is a hassle.
