Hopefully the DLC will come out in December, because I have these questions as well. I doubt he is going for a new Piece of Eden or something like that, since he doesn't really care about the Assassins or Templars or their goals. Maybe Napoleon made him go there, in exchange for something. Currently, that's the only idea a have.
