I don't know if the developers exactly took the coding from AC. It's definitely very similar, as you can see in the way Talion shuffles on a ledge & how he just generally moves. Also, have you noticed the rope that he walks on looks identical to the ones in AC? But for me, this isn't a problem. Even if they did take it, I couldn't care less. I love the movement in AC; it's one of the main reasons I play it. It would actually be a good thing for me if they did this. However, I do worry that Ubi might get a bit annoyed & start suing. They shouldn't though, as I see this as more of a compliment to their unique & functional design. And besides, if everybody has to make everything new then we will never see these brilliant games that merge all the best concepts. You have to admit that even the Arkham series takes some inspiration from AC. But this is a good thing, as this allows different developers to improve upon an already built structure - metaphorically of course.

Also, it really irritates me to read a lot of the comments about this game complaining about how the movement looks similar to AC, because to be honest that's not what's causing the problems in AC anymore. The climbing generally works & works well. The problem people have is with the mission structure being repetitive  - which I can also agree with (of course for me this isn't as big a deal). As was shown, the missions in Middle-Earth play out differently every time, so why are there complaints? It makes no sense to me.  I think that they have convinced themselves that everything is bad about AC. That reminds me, I would really like to do a blog at some point about how people complain about AC not changing things up, because it really does. I'm not going to go into too much detail now, but in reality, the entire concept of AC having a new setting every year shows quite simply how different they are from year-to-year. You couldn't put one AC along side another & say it looks the same, because quite frankly it doesn't.

Sorry for the long post. I have strong emotions regarding the ignorance of a lot of people these days. But anyways, I'm excited for this game & I would strongly encourage other AC fans to feel the same. Who knows, maybe this will overtake Dishonored & become my new favourite game ever made :)
