Desmond's story ends with ACIII, and I can see many people being upset with the game, since Ubisoft is French, and we will probably kill British soldiers in it, and then it's the whole THEY HATE THE BRITISH! all over again.

Except on a much larger scale since they will claim artistic revenge yada yada yada.
