No N1, the Assassins that are portrayed in the AC franchise aren't real.

As they began, they were originated from the Asasiyun, an ancient Persian and Syrian sect of Nizali Ismailis.

I would also suggest that you don't go out trying to kill "Templars" because you'll probably be arrested or shot.
