That'd be an interesting road to travel, but Hutchinson said they're not trying to tread heavily on slavery in AC 3 but rather, AC3:L. I had the random thought that perhaps Agate witnessed the birth of Aveline and deemed her an Assassin child in 1459. BUt I'm more and likely wrong. :P
