Brotherhood and Revelations weren't as story driven on the Desmond side (which is what the story is about) because ACB and ACR are not full releases, they're expansions to AC2; the reason they are games is because Ubisoft had to finish "side stories" like why Ezio is important. So your claim that "Ubi isn't giving a damn..." isn't valid here.
