In that time and place their would be very little structures to climb on. AC3 had to turn to tree and cliff free running but that is a problem with Edward why? because he did not grow up in the woods and is not Native American. Yeah he could still climb simple trees but no way near as efficient as Connor and cliff climbing would be i imagine harder. It just makes me scared to think what they will do to the franchize to release theese games.
