The Back Sword was a sword used by Swedish soldiers when they fought against Russia.
A back sword was among the specialty weapons of the police in France at the end of the 18th century. As such, it was not available for regular sale. At some point during Charles Cochon de Lapparent's tenure as Police Minister between April 1796 and July 1797,[1] he gave one to Arno Dorian, a member of the Parisian Brotherhood of Assassins, as a reward for solving the murder of Barto, a comic actor.[2]
