Is it really like Unity? What's the combat like? Are there eny improvements over past AC games? What makes Syndicate different from past AC games?

Also what are the protagonists like. I bet Jacob is another Ezio (or Arno,even Edward) revenge seeking kinda guy,acting tough while he really isn't, kinda goofy,finding meaning of the life entire game,with no love intrest the entire game, I mean Edward was a pirate but he had no women the entire game, Shay the same, don't start me with Connor, they went with Arno completly different way, the entire game is about his love for his girl (but it's kinda strange if you ask me I would aspect for Arno and Elise to be more like brother and sister). I'm afraid Jacob's character will be just another AC character, made from past AC characters, and Ubisoft will be like OK the players liked that,lets put some of that, what they think is appealing for the masses. No wonder so many people like Haytham,because he was so much different than any other AC character. And I have a felling Evie will be just another lesbian fighter,pissed off at everything,always putting blame on somone for all the bad stuff, always making a stand for something, but not knowing for what really, just for the sake of it, and being emotional where there is no need whatsoever for that. But I don't want Evie to be "lady" kinda woman,or being to emotional,or even "Barbie" kinda girl, it just wouldn't fit well being an assassin,killing people and considering the time period.
