The Modern day aspect in AC1 was great even though you couldn't really do anything, but the story that was told through emails was interesting with Abstergo locking away a PoE with concerns of a time paradox! I just feel like Ubisoft is just not capitalising on the Modern day, I mean they had their chance with AC3 but screwed up completely with Desmond (Master Assassin my arse -_-) the gameplay was bad and felt rushed which was displayed even more with Daniel Cross. They made an egregious mistake of promising an ultimate assassin and that was what they produced? There are many stories Ubisoft can tackle with Modern day; They have a map of all PoE track them down? maybe that what they need to take out Juno, Find all First Civ temples? maybe find answers there, and that can still done with historical setting. The ideas I'm proposing are probably for a only Modern day game and Ubisoft will not do that if they are not sure they'll make money, but why not take the risk? and if not they might as well do away with the Modern day then give us this because they know the historical is enough to get by.
