How to become an Apprentice

Those who wish to become more than a simple editor have a steep road to climb before entering the AC Wiki's Mt. Olympus.

Blend

  1. Users who wish to become Apprentices may sign up at the Recruitment page to make an appointment (but not to sign up as an apprentice) with a sysop at the IRC. The user must specify what time the interview will be conducted, in order for the sysops to know what time they'll be on. Once both are online, the sysop then interviews the user three sets of questions via PM.
    1. The three sets of questions will be based on three major aspects of the wiki: Editing, The Community and Knowledge over the series.
    2. If the user fails to meet the sysop in the set time, he or she can set another appointment at the desired sysop's talk page. (Note: Only a total of three missed appointments can be accumulated. The user can no longer make an appointment after the initial failed three.)
  2. Once the user has cleared the interview, he or she can freely resume his or her activities at the wiki, while the sysop passes the results to the other sysops for a review.
    1. If the user meets the staff's standards: He or she is given permission to sign up at the Selection Hall, where he or she can be picked up by an Istruttore.
    2. If the user does not meet the staff's standards: He or she is told about the final decision, and may or may not resume his or her wiki activities, depending on the user's decision.

Sprint

  1. While waiting for a master to pick him or her up, the Apprentice is permitted to work around the wiki while he/she waits. The Masters' that have their name signed up at the Active List will check the listings for an apprentice that matches their personal preference, and when they find one, they can cross out the name of the apprentice off the list.
  2. Once the master has chosen his apprentice, he or she will message the freelance at his or her talkpage and tell him that he/she has chosen him or her as his/her new understudy. The user is given the apprentice templates that will distinguish him/her from other users.
  3. The user is now under the watch and guidance of his/her new master. The master has full responsibility over the apprentice, and can give him or her tasks to follow. From revamping a page, to adding a quote, and also fetching coffee. The apprentice will be able to learn from his/her master, while the master learns from his/her student, regarding various aspects.
  4. What happens to the apprentice hereafter is up to the master to decide.

Take a Leap of Faith

  1. After an ample amount of time (1 to 4 months being the minimal), the Master can give his or her final input on his or her apprentice. The master then passes it along to the council of 2 (which consists of the Direttore and the Camerlengo), and tells them what he or she thinks about his or her understudy.
    1. If the user has gained his or her master's positive input: The user will go through the Voting Process, how their masters ascended into the staff. The apprentice is then evaluated by all of the staff, from other staff members, to the Bureaucrat himself. If the user gains enough votes, he or she is in. Get a negative ratio of Yays and Nays, and that user is out.
    2. If the user has gained his or her master's negative input: The user will be given a template as a sign of recognition (a sort of "thanks for trying" template) and is permitted to continue his or her work around the wiki, depending on the user's decision. The user, after a certain time, can apply again for the apprenticeship.
  2. If the user passes, he or she is now made an official Istruttore. He or she is given the same privileges as that of the staff, and is welcomed into the Istruttori with a more stable and secure position.

Hi, I want to be an apprentice. Im online nearly everyday from 20.00 to 22.00 even longer on fridays and saturdays. I think I know pretty much about AC and I hope that I will become an apprentice and hopefully even bigger than that ;) Bye guys :) Friibbe 21:48, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
Hello, members of the Instruttori order. I wish to become an apprentice. I've decided in the past couple of days that Assassins Creed is a series I am truly invested in, and wish to be taken under as a learner to better know the series and my abilities as an editor. I wish not to gain recognition as a Extreme-Super Editor, but to become a true contributor on this wikia, to better inform the fans of the series to visit this site in the following years to come. I can be available from 3 to 10, or 15:00 to 22:00 weekdays--Black Artist 01:59, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
Hello, I would like to become an apprentice. I feel that I am very cooperative, and that I am easy to work with. I am on everyday and check on recently edited pages to check for vandalism. I wish to help this Wiki and become a great cause for this. I am available from 3 PM to 10:20 PM on week days, and 2 PM to 11 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Let me know =] Dead Shot 02:10, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
Well, I'd like to sign up for an apprentice spot. One of the most important reasons why I'd like to do so is that I'm not very active in sites, so it would help me with activity. I will usually be avalible Mon*-Sunday**. I'm on an eastren time zone so I am -5:00 hours. Monday through friday I will be avalible after 5 but tuesdays and thursdays will be an off day due to Baseball games. Saturday and Sunday are mostly All Day. BloodBladexX 22:56, May 16, 2011 (UTC)
