Dialogue

  • Duncan: Ah! Connor! Your work precedes you! Now it's time to finish the job. I'm told this chap just materialized from the ether and nobody has the stones, to you know... challenge him. Until now. We need a gang, a gang of our own though - fight fire with fire.
  • Barkeeper: About time we did something about those brutes. I want in.
  • Duncan: Good on ya! That's one for the lads. Come on, let's gather the rest.
  • Barkeeper: Bar's closed. Get out!

Connor's gang stormed the mercenaries' dock and killed the Templar leader.

  • Connor: He was a Templar.
  • Duncan: What like the KNIGHTS Templar? Jesus, I thought they were just a spook story.
  • Connor: They are very real.
  • Duncan: I'll take your word for it. Well, it's been a real pleasure. If you ever need a hand in a whatever it is you're up to, I'm your man.

Outcome

Connor recruited Duncan, gaining the apprentices the Bodyguard ability. Connor also gained a key to the treasure chests in North Boston.

Description

After completing the Liberation Missions in Southwest Boston, Connor met with his contact Clipper Wilkinson on a bench, to end the drafting of men into the British Army.

Dialogue

  • Recruiter: Welcome to the Regulars. The most feared, respected and revered fighting force on God's green earth. Some of you are here by choice, others not. Regardless of the circumstances of your joining us, you are all brothers now. And the only way you have a chance of surviving is if you trust your brothers. One weak link can kill a whole squad on the field. I want you to think about that long and hard.
  • Clipper: That's one of them that's responsible for this - rounding up the young ones and shipping them off. We need to put an end to it.
  • Connor: What is your plan?
  • Clipper: Kill him, then the rest and set all them boys free?
  • Connor: It's a good plan but it lacks detail. How is your aim with that rifle?
  • Clipper: Can pop a muskrat's head from a quarter mile nine times outa ten - and the ten's a misfire.
  • Connor: That should do. Cover me up from up there.

Connor blended with the recruits, while Clipper climbed a rooftop. Connor gave the signal, and Clipper shot the Templar leader, allowing the recruits to flee.

  • Connor: We Assassins strive for peace through freedom. And the Templars - they want only to control.
  • Clipper: Well, I'm for freedom, I know that much. If your Order needs a good rifle, sign me up.

Outcome

Connor recruited Clipper, who taught the apprentices the Marksman ability. Connor also gained the key to the Boston South treasure chests.

Description

After completing the Liberation Missions in North New York, Connor met with Dobby Carter outside her home, to discuss ending the harassment of starving families by the tax collectors.

Dialogue

  • Dobby: While you were putting a stop to this madness I was sniffing out who's responsible.
  • Connor: His tactics are familiar to me.
  • Dobby: Is that right? Well, don't know who the man is but he's not for Patriots or British. He's got a fortified camp built around the main water supply in the area. All the seized crops, all the meat, everything is being moved there then resold at dizzying prices.
  • 'Connor: How do we get in?
  • Dobby: I got some local men ready to get in on the fight.

Dobby pickpocketed guards to lure them away, while Connor assassinated the Templar leader.

  • Dobby: He was a madman!
  • Connor: Not mad, beguiled by a set of dangerous but attractive ideals.
  • Dobby: Is that right? And who exactly are you?
  • Connor: Someone who seeks to relieve men like him of their power.
  • Dobby: After seeing what you can do, I'll leave it at that. But if you ever need an extra blade, I'll stand by you.

Outcome

Connor recruited Dobby, who taught the apprentices the Lure ability. Connor also gained the key to the treasure chests in North New York.

Description

After completing the Liberation Missions in East New York, Connor met Jacob Zenger in the tavern to end the martial law in the city.

Dialogue

  • Jacob: We were just discussing the result of your work. It seems these military men are after you.
  • Connor: I have caught their attention.
  • Jacob: It does make our goals harder to achieve. The man we're after has gone into hiding, protected by his soldiers.
  • Connor: We fight our way in, then.
  • Jacob: Not possible, even for a man of your abilities. But I have another - less conventional - idea. You will be our prisoner and we shall present you for the bounty.

Connor was escorted onto the Templar leader's ship by Zenger's men, disguised as soldiers.

  • Soldier 1: That him? Doesn't look like much.
  • Soldier 2: Doesn't matter now does it? The commander'll have his way with him. I wish I could be there to see.
  • Soldier 3: Look at that! They got the lout! Well done, mate.
  • Soldier 4: You're gonna get what's coming to you half-breed.

The Templar leader was giving a speech.

  • Templar: People! Bear witness to what happens to rebels in my part of New York. These men defied the curfew set in place for safety. They assaulted his majesty's soldiers and conspired against the authority of the military. Such blatant disregard for protocol, designed to protect the citizens of New York, will be punished by death. We seek not to control you, to oppress you, we seek only to ensure your safety in the face of conflict and aggression. The civilians of New York must be protected at all costs, no matter their allegiance. It seems these three men sought to jeopardize your wellbeing. I will not tolerate it.

Connor's group dropped the pretense and killed the Templar leader.

  • Jacob: That man. He thought what he was doing was right.
  • Connor: He did. As do his brothers.
  • Jacob: Who was he, really?
  • Connor: There are powerful organizations who seek control, nothing more. This man belonged to one.
  • Jacob: It does not surprise me. I don't know who you are but if you should need my help, I am happy to give it.

Outcome

Connor recruited Jacob, who taught the apprentices the Covert Escort ability. Connor also gained the key to the treasure chests in East New York.

  • Doctor: I mean to start my inoculations. It's the most effective way to prevent the disease.
  • Jacob: Not a worry, a pity people are so damned stupid. Eh Connor?

Connor smirked, but spotted a mercenary.

  • Jacob: What's wrong with you?
  • Connor: An attack is coming. Are you ready for a fight?
  • Jacob: Always. You tell me where you want me and I'll make sure not a single man gets through.

Connor set up ambushes for the approaching mercenaries.

  • Connor: The Assassins have long since branched out across the globe. The Colonies are no exception. The man you killed was a Templar.
