The Arco di Settimio Severo is a large structure found in Rome, at the foot of the Campidoglio in the Roman Forum. The Arch is a triumphal arch that commemorates the Parthian victories of Emperor Septimius Severus. After his death, his sons, Caracalla and Geta, ruled side by side. However, in 212, Caracalle had Geta assassinated and destroyed all records of his existence, including his image and inscriptions on the arch.
