The Prowler (real name: Il Lupo) previously known as The Hunter is a multiplayer character in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood who wields a hidden blade roughly similar to those worn by Assassins. Despite his similarity to the Assassins, the Prowler is, as all other multiplayer characters in Brotherhood, a Templar.
He makes an appearance in Project Legacy as a creation of Baltasar de Silva, Cesare Borgia's master spy. After many hours of tracking and learning from the Assassins with Fiora Cavazza, Baltasar trained Il Lupo, a hitman who used the techniques and weapons of the Assassins. When Fiora betrayed all of Cesare's agents to the Assassins, she personally kills Il Lupo with a poisoned iron fan. She did so with a sense of urgency as Il Lupo was the last person who knew that Fiora had done possibly damaging things to the Assassins before she sought their aid.

The Neck Breaker
The Prowler grabs his target from behind and swiftly maneuvers his hands around their neck. He then clutches the chin and neck, roughly pulling the head at a 90 degree angle and breaking the neck bone. The target then falls dead to the ground.
The Plunge of Death
The Prowler leaps from a rooftop above, onto the target, forcing them to the ground and plunging the blade into their skull. The target dies instantly.
Headache
The Prowler runs up behind his target and shoves his blade through the back of their head.

Trivia
- A mysterious beige-robed identical character, previously nicknamed the "Caramel Hunter" and the "Female Hunter" has been spotted in several multiplayer images. Once an unknown character, she has now been identified as the Smuggler.
- Plunge of Death, a special move used by both the Prowler and the Noble, is actually an Air Assassination, a move frequently used by the Assassin Order.
- On the back of the Prowler's cape is a Knights Templar cross.
- His name, "Il Lupo," means "The Wolf". It is most likely a reference to La Volpe.
- The cloak he wears resembles Maria Thorpe's cloak from Assassin's Creed II.
- His first basic color consists of his original cape color that you can see him wearing on the picture above. His first extra color changes his cape color to brown, his second color changes the cape color to red and his third extra color changeds the cape to a green color. All of his colors just changes his cape color and nothing else.
- His weapon is a different variation of the Assassin's hiddenblade. His weapon is called a Templar Switchblade which consists of two blades forming together to create one when killing his target besides the usual thrust to kill targets like the assassins do, even though Ll Lupo can still do that.
- He might seem like an assassin but yet don't be fooled, all of the 17 multiplayer characters are templars including The Prowler. Two differences you can even point out is that his hood doesn't have a peak like the assassins do and that his hood is a cape instead of being a whole outfit like the assassins. He was trained from the techniques of an assassin so he is similar in his style.
- One thing noticable about his switchblade is that it has a Templar cross on it just like like the assassins have their sign on their hiddenblade.
