Chad

Chad was an Anglo-Saxon man from Jorvik, Eurvicscire in the 9th century.

In the 870s, Chad worked under a Norse employer, Burk, and was blinded after Burk accused him of theft of his goods. Making his way below a bridge, he was soon stranded. Luckily, Viking Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan heard his pleas for help. Eivor carried him back to the bridge, where they were met by Burk. Despite Chad's testimony contradicting Burk's accusations, Burk told ahold of Chad and thanked Eivor for her help. However, while Chad was taken by Burk's men, Eivor came and saved him once again from Burk.
