Aah, my mistake. Then yeah, those three are pretty good examples of people who abandoned their respective Order's principles for their own gain.

(The most messed up part of Desmond killing the security guards? As you're leaving it encourages you to kill any guards pursuing you, but if you let them come into the radius of the Apple's power they just...turn and run away. That was when I knew Desmond had gone off the deep end.)

Yeah, I think they're definitely setting up for some conflict between the Orders on a personal level. I imagine Arno's adoptive father treated him well, and Arno clearly cares for Elise, so how much is going against them going to feel like a betrayal? Plus, despite what Shay says in the trailer about his own creed, I imagine killing the people who were once so important to you weighs on a man's soul. 

I kind of like that idea of them creating the Initiates. A bit unusual, but there's something about it...
