I'm actually really enjoying Unity at the moment. The only "bugs" I've noticed are framerate issues when I start combat in an area with loads of NPCs (e.g. in front of the Notre Dame) but I'm enjoying the story and I love the amount of side missions, as well as the variety in them (rifts, nostradamus, murder mysteries, paris stories). The open assassinations are also a nice break from the linear assassinations of earlier ACs, reminiscent of AC1. I can see that there aren't quite enough main sequence memories and that gameplay hasn't been totally overhauled, plus the modern day continues to be quite poor (a trend that started in Revelations and hopefully ends with Victory) although it is at least better than Black Flag's modern day. It's not the best AC but it's not a disaster. I'd say in my opinion it goes (not played Rogue by the way) :
1) AC2
2) Brotherhood
3) Black Flag
4) Unity
5) AC1
6) Revelations
7) AC3
