Obligatory defense of Liberation here. I don't think you can get more tedious than AC3's very lengthy introduction. Unity's just kind of bad in general. Liberation doesn't feel very tedious in comparison, at least to me; it's over really quickly and the only things that might be annoying are the "take no damage" full sync objectives in three missions.
