So, we've seen the transitions between land and sea and cutscene-gameplay are smooth and no longer singe retinas with flashing white loading screens. I'm still curious if they improved the lipsynch and mimic outside the cutscenes, and stopped using lower-quality models outside of them, because that shit was terrible horrible in AC3.
Look at Desmond during the first time he gets dropped in the Animus - when he talks with his dad, it's a cutscene model. You can tell because it has the bloody hair strands and the mimic actually matches up with the words. Five seconds later there's a quick flash, the hair is gone and you get dropped into the Refresher Course with the poorling of a model.
Same with all the other characters. Have a look at Haytham in freeroam, he's got some massive 'scars' near his ears, and by that I mean texture seams, and practically no normal maps on his face. It's oval and flat as hell with no definition, unlike the cutscenes. Same with Connor.
It's shit like this that lowers the quality, on Ubi's own demand no less, since they rush this stuff out to meet the deadlines instead of doing it properly.
