I think the trilogy thing could very much still be up in the air. What if the protagonist of AC Empire isn't well-received? If they aren't, Ubisoft might decide to go a different route and switch to another character/era. Personally, I feel a trilogy would be a bit much, but if I like Empire's protagonist, I certainly wouldn't mind a sequel for them.
