Assassin Training

My Xbox 360 arrived yesterday, but the games wouldn't load when I was offline. After hours of talking to representatives and testing, I found that I just needed to transfer licenses to re-download my DLC, and have the saves work. I've tested AC2, and I've found that it worked. So, I'm getting ACB's DLCs right now and then I'll get ACR's DLC. Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 17:06, May 26, 2012 (UTC)

The system works well and everything? No problems? Assassin's Creed Revelations's DLC isn't that great but it added a knowledgeable aspect to the franchise... PS: How is your story coming along? SupremeAssassin 21:07, May 26, 2012 (UTC)

System is working perfectly. I noticed, after the first repair (this is the second), that the disc tray kinda wiggled as it would open and close. Now, after this second repair, it goes in straight. So, I'm hoping it'll work fine. As for my training. I have a gotten a lot of progress. I can't seem to finish the Tutorial mission because it resets every time I drop from a ledge (why?), but I have a silver medal in Short Course 1, 2, and I think 3 (I'm away from home, so I can't tell). In Steath Assassinations, I've only done Hidden Blade 1, and All Weapons 1. I have earned silvers in both of those. In Combat, I have earned a bronze in Flawless Hidden Blade (5 kills is my best), a bronze in Flawless All Weapons (I have 14 kills, which is one shy of a silver).

Then I earned a silver in Short and Medium Kill Streaks yesterday, but this morning, I got a gold medal in Medium because I managed to get a high kill streak of about 13-14. The Long Kill Streak is the one I'm most proud of. I got a gold on my first try, and I got really lucky. My highest kill streak was 19 (mostly because Ezio kept using his pistol and his sword for Executions, giving me 2 instead of 1 on the KIll Streak marker), and I killed 44 guards. It totalled out to be 836 points, and you need only 400 points to get a gold. I got double the amount needed for a gold. I'm quite pleased with that. I'm going to practice more Freerunning later.

As for my story, I'm still working on my Chapter 19, but I made some changes to Chapter 18 which I'll post shortly. Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 15:40, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

Very impressive... I can seem to recall... but I have gold in everything on the VR but the Flawless Freeflow Combat for all Weapons is the most difficult... I persevered and now have 689 points... what's embarassing is that a Novice surpassed me and has 936 points on it lol... Try the Flawless VR Aegis... it's annoying but it improves you significantly... I have a feeling if I were to try it right now... I wouldn't be as good because I hardly use the VR anymore... SupremeAssassin 15:53, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you. :) Wow, you've got 689 points on Flawless All Weapons? That's REALLY good. *claps* I have been playing Flawless, it's fun. It's easier with All Weapons because you can use Smoke Bombs. Hidden Blade is harder because you don't have any. I have discovered that I love VR now. It's like an extra chunk of Brotherhood that I never played before. So, I feel like I'm getting more singleplayer! It makes me happy. Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 20:37, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

You're welcome and thank you. Yes, Flawless All Weapons isn't as difficult as Flawless Hidden Blade but it is very difficult... I can keep up a killing spree for an impressive amount of time or as many guards that I have to kill in close range... but I sometimes feel like a guard will hit me so I get paranoid and instead of continuing... I block the next attack... Sometimes, when I play Flawless All Weapons... I'll be advancing very well and other times be very bad at it... Sometimes I'll actually block with my hidden blade and it'll still reset me... I never actually used the smoke bombs but then I got really frustrated and I thought "The hell with it" so I used the smoke bomb when the seekers came out... as countering with the hidden blade is difficult when it comes to seekers. VR is extremely fun and I'm glad Ubisoft included it... without it, I wouldn't have improved combat skills in AC:B... if I did... it would taken a lot longer... It reminds me of the combat and predator challenges of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City... I spent days and weeks on it... just to be good enough to play on Hard difficulty. I hope Ubisoft bring it back for Assassin's Creed 3 because of the new combat system... even veteran players will need to get used to it. PS: The whole signature thing is rather odd, don't you think? Shouldn't it be automatic? SupremeAssassin 20:47, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I agree with you on the signatures, but I think that's a Wikia thing, not the Assassin's Creed wikia thing. Short Kill Streak is a hard one to advance on, too. I have 165 points, but earlier today, I was just dropping. I went down to 55. It was shameful. I feel like there's an aspect of luck to getting high kill streaks. Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 20:52, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

(Haha, I always make grammatical errors... you ever make sentences and then you think you already typed in a word but then you didn't? Always happens to me) . Must be a Wikia thing... a good point. Oh yeah, the Kill Streaks actually time you, so it is very difficult... I don't know how much I have on Short Kill Streak.. next time I decide to play AC:B VR I'll tell you... My memory isn't that good when it comes to numbers. As for the luck part... there must be... no way a Novice could get over nine hundred points.... I was barely getting a hundred when I started... PS: Aegis I was about to press publish but then remembered to sign my post lol! SupremeAssassin 20:59, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

Ha ha. Yeah, that happens to me with the signatures, too. Well, I did all the VRs except the Tutorial Run one. I just can't get it to stop reseting the darn race. Anyway, my story is finished at last. Also, I have silver medals in all Stealth Assassination trainings. The second and third Hidden Blade ones were hard. Especially the one with the two guards facing each other. Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 22:16, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

The tutorial run isn't a necessity... I think... Also, the hidden blade ones are difficult but once you find a routine... it becomes easier. You can then focus on fine tuning your progress... I've become so good at using Ezio that I sometimes just mess around with guards because I'm bored. PS: Your story was a marvel to behold... If you ever find the inspiration... you should make a sequel with Link coming to Italy by some twisted reason... or of his own vocation. Congratulations with the VRs... They definately aren't easy to do so you should be very proud of yourself. Supreme Master Assassin 23:55, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

I got a gold medal on Hidden Blade 1 today in the Stealth Assassinations. It was pretty hard, but I managed to do it. It took me like 10 or so attempts. Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 18:53, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

I just got off ACB... I got really frustrated with the Flawless Hidden Blade and Long KIll Streak, I started swearing loudly... I then tried the Flag ones... which I suck at... I only have one gold medal which is for Flag 1. I'm certain you'll surpass me if I don't keep playing the VRs. Supreme Master Assassin 19:50, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

I just beat ACB for the third time today. I really hate the Apple Chamber. Oh my gosh. >_<; I just hate jumping around those platforms, and finding out which switch is the correct one. Ugh. Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 14:05, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

Haha, I remember actually messing up one time and having to start all over again. I actually don't mind the Apple Chamber though, you have to find a routine in every Assassin's Creed game and you'll know what to expect from there on out. Supreme Master Assassin 14:13, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

I've been playing AC2 again. I'm at the end of the game (old save file that I didn't finish because of the Xbox repair), and it still trains me. On rooftops, I wait until the archers have their backs to me, then I fast walk up to them and assassinate them. Using low profile assassinations helps you avoid getting caught and raising your notoriety. Also, I usually wear the Auditore Cape (which in AC2, forces you to be 100% notorious) whenever I do Assassination Contracts. It makes it a lot more fun, and more difficult. Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 15:26, June 2, 2012 (UTC)

Assassin's Creed 2 still trains me as well, mostly the Vatican but I find it extremely easy now. I don't wear the Auditore Cape because of the forced notoriety system placed on it. I'll think about wearing it when I ever decide to play AC2 again. I might even play the first game, it's still challenging... I mean, you don't have much options to assassinate and you have to get in close and the blending system isn't as fluid as AC2 and beyond. In AC3, I think they changed it up drastically. Connor will actually mimic NPCs if he enters a group of them which thereby makes him blend. I might not like that though but I've been proven wrong before. Also, I hope the combat system in AC3 isn't going to be too difficult to master. Only time will tell... Supreme Master Assassin 15:48, June 2, 2012 (UTC)

Congratz on the Lucky Edit!

That's awesome! You got a lucky edit badge! Cool! :) Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 22:14, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you kindly! I was taken aback when I saw the Lucky Edit and thought... "How? When?" I'm thinking of becoming an Apprentince so I can edit articles and such... are you one? Supreme Master Assassin 23:57, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

Ezio Wallpaper

I noticed that, before it was deleted, in your main profile, you had a pretty sweet wallpaper of AC2 Ezio. Are you going to re-add that and source it? Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 22:33, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, I'll do that now actually, I need a picture of Ezio to show he is my favorite ancestor. Supreme Master Assassin 22:37, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

Be sure to source it. ;) I wouldn't want it to get deleted. It's a very cool picture. Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 22:41, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

Done. I sourced it, I have to keep going to Sima's talkpage to extract the template that he gave me to source an image every time though, I don't mind doing it but it's just time consuming. I came across it in 2009 I believe, it's a very nice wallpaper. My wallpaper for my Mac is a photoshopped picture of Connor, Ezio and Altair standing in a ghost town. Thought you might want to know, lol. Supreme Master Assassin 22:49, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

That's cool. I have 7 Desktop themes, one for each day. First (Sunday) is the Lord creating the earth. Second (Monday) is Sasami from Tenchi Muyo!. Third (Tuesday) is Connor overlooking a battle between the british and colonists. Fourth (Wednesday) is a picture of Rydia from FF4. Fifth (Thursday) is a Skyward Sword Wallpaper of SS's version of Zelda. Sixth (Friday) is a Twilight Princess background. And seventh (Saturday) is a set of alternating backgrounds which include AC BGs, CastleVania, a picture of Aegis Runestone, etc. It's fun. I change every day. Also, about your Legendary Hero background, I hope you kept the .psd file, because it's hard to read the black-on-black text (don't change the text to blue. Blue on black or black on blue is generally a bad thing when it comes to graphic design). So, you might want to change the text color. Just a suggestion. Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 17:04, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

I still have the .psd file. I figured it would be easy enough to read. How about red? I'm making another wallpaper with a crossover between Revelations Ezio and Batman from Batman Arkham Asylum/Arkham City series. For the background, I have two pictures of 18th Century Authenticity images. The pictures are part of the Jack The Ripper tour. I'm thinking that, they both get warped there by some fluke and eventually Ezio assassinates Jack The Ripper. I'm not writing the story it's just an idea for a crossover that I'm going to imagine happening. You have nice ideas for your desktop themes. I just change it when I get bored of the desktop wallpaper. Supreme Master Assassin 17:13, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

Red would work. :) Aegis RunestoneSpeak to me 17:14, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

Alright, when I get home I'll edit it and change it to red instead... Perhaps the same color red as the "Creed" in the Assassin's Creed logo. Also, I was originally going to have Ezio and Batman in a Gotham City setting but couldn't find any good pictures, and I was even thinking of Rome or Constantinople but it didn't seem sensible. So finally, I used 18th Century London England. I am going to expand the spacing for the wallpaper because I need more room to properly position the insignias and place the logo and title.
